Kenyan singer Akothee and her partner Denis Schweizer, popularly known as Omosh, exchanged vows in a beautiful garden wedding at the Windsor Golf and Country Club. The couple opted for a white-themed ceremony, with Akothee stunning in her Ksh 700K white gown, while Omosh wore a white Achkan, also known as a Sherwani.
The wedding was a double celebration as it coincided with Akothee’s birthday, and her main wish was to get married on her special day. The guests adhered to the dress code of elegant attire with a touch of gold, and they were requested not to wear white.
Akothee arrived at the venue in style, leaving the Boma hotel, where she had been staying with her bridal team, in a convertible car. She made a grand entrance in a chariot, while Omosh arrived on horseback.
The star-studded event was attended by politicians, media personalities, and influencers. Lang’ata MP Phelix ‘Jalang’o’ Odiwuor, Milly Wa Jesus and her husband Kabi Wa Jesus, and Azziad Nasenya were among Akothee’s bridal team. Other notable celebrities in attendance included Nominated Senator Karen Nyamu, MP Millie Odhiambo, CS Aisha Jumwa, Diana Marua, Bahati, Terence Creative, Milly Chebby, Lillian Muli, Janet Mbugua, Alex Mwakideu, Njugush, Migori First Lady Agnes Ayacko, Kisumu First Lady Madam Dorothy Nyong’o, Sandra Dacha, PLO Lumumba, and Dr Ofweneke.
The guests were treated to a lavish reception with mouth-watering delicacies, drinks, and music. The newlyweds were the center of attention as they danced the night away and cut their five-tiered cake.
Overall, it was a beautiful and memorable wedding that brought together some of the biggest names in Kenya’s entertainment and political scenes.
