Jackie Matubia to Reveal “New Body” After Shedding 28Kgs

Kenyan actress and award-winner, Jackie Matubia, has announced that she will soon unveil her new body to celebrate her successful weight loss journey. Matubia recently lost 28 kilograms after undergoing non-invasive surgery where an inflatable silicone balloon was inserted into her stomach. Speaking to Mpasho, she said, “I have really lost a lot of weight.” Matubia hopes to maintain her current weight, stating, “I think my preferred weight is 75 but when I was 75kgs, I was really tiny, and so I think I will maintain where I am right now.” The procedure used by Matubia, gastric balloon placement, is a temporary and nonsurgical weight-loss procedure that involves inserting an inflatable saline-filled silicone balloon inside the stomach to limit its food-carrying capacity.
