Kwambox Was Sexually Harassed by Female Boss During Job Interview

Sheila Kwamboka, also known as Kwambox, recently shared her experience of being sexually harassed by a female boss during a job interview on her podcast. The Kiss FM breakfast presenter had skipped work to attend the interview but left feeling frustrated and uncomfortable.
According to Kwambox, after waiting for an hour and a half in the reception area, she was offered a drink by the female boss upon being called in for the interview. However, things quickly turned uncomfortable when the boss removed her shoes and put her feet on Kwambox’s thighs.
Despite feeling irritated, Kwambox contemplated whether to accept the harassment and get the job or not. She eventually decided to walk out of the premises, realizing that she did not want to work for someone who would disrespect her boundaries.
Kwambox’s experience sheds light on the fact that sexual harassment can happen to anyone, regardless of gender, and that it is crucial to speak up and take action against it. Many victims of sexual harassment feel ashamed and scared to come forward, but Kwambox’s courage in sharing her story may inspire others to do the same.
It is important to note that sexual harassment is not only unethical but is also illegal under Kenyan law. Employers have a responsibility to ensure that their employees are not subjected to any form of harassment or discrimination in the workplace.
Kwambox’s experience also highlights the need for more awareness and education on sexual harassment in the workplace. By understanding what constitutes sexual harassment and how to prevent it, both employers and employees can work together to create a safe and respectful work environment for everyone.
In conclusion, sexual harassment is a serious issue that should not be taken lightly. Kwambox’s bravery in speaking out about her experience serves as a reminder that we must all work towards creating a world where everyone feels safe and respected, regardless of gender.
