XXXTentacion Murder Trial: Three Guilty Men To Face Life In Prison

The verdict is in for the murder trial of rapper XXXTentacion, with three men found guilty and set to face life in prison. Dedrick Williams, Trayvon Newsome, and Michael Boatwright were all convicted of first-degree murder and armed robbery in relation to the 2018 killing of the rapper. Robert Allen, the fourth suspect, pleaded guilty to second-degree murder and armed robbery and testified against the other three.
XXXTentacion, whose real name was Jahseh Onfroy, was a rising star in the rap world when he was shot and killed in broad daylight in Deerfield Beach, Florida, at the age of 20. While he had achieved success with his album “?” reaching number one on the charts, he was also controversial due to his history of violence. At the time of his death, he was awaiting trial for allegedly beating his pregnant ex-girlfriend.
The fatal shooting occurred on June 18, 2018, when XXXTentacion’s car was cut off by a four-wheel-drive vehicle, and two people got out and shot him. They stole a bag containing $50,000 in cash and fled. Boatwright was identified as the shooter, with Newsome as his accomplice and Williams as the getaway driver and mastermind behind the attack.
After a week of deliberation, the Fort Lauderdale jury delivered a verdict of guilty on all charges for the three men. They are set to be sentenced on April 6 and face the possibility of life in prison.
XXXTentacion’s death was a tragedy that shocked the music world, and the verdict in this case offers some measure of justice for his family and fans.
