Machachari” Saves Woman from Selling Her Children Due to Poverty

In a touching story, Machachari actress Clara Wamaitha Ngethe, popularly known as Mama Stella, came to the rescue of a struggling mother who was contemplating selling her two children due to financial challenges. The mother, Hannah Mwaura, had lost her job during the pandemic and had been living off doing laundry for clients. She was facing five months’ rent arrears and had nobody to turn to for help. The situation was so dire that she even contemplated taking her own life and the lives of her children. But after reaching out to Mama Stella, she not only received a month’s supply of shopping but also had her story aired in the media. She is now seeking employment, and hopefully, her situation will improve.
